Location

The Oasis is where Poole meets Bournemouth.  We are very close to the Poole beaches and bike rides away from Sandbanks where you can take the ferry across to Studland and then onto the Purbecks. Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset have the lifestyle choices whether you are working or retired.

It’s the place to be with quick rail access to London, boats to the Channel islands and France, an international airport and quality employment opportunities.

Bournemouth & Poole

Our two towns have beautiful parks, gardens and golden beaches with delightfully safe bathing.   We have superb golf courses and tennis clubs, lovely bowling greens, a choice of cricket, rugby, squash and badminton and we all support Bournemouth Town FC.

The shopping options are a dream from the Department Stores to vibrant independents.  Bournemouth is proud of its Symphony Orchestra and has a state of the art Cinema complex, both towns have quality theatre and opera. If you are a night owl we have cocktail bars and dance clubs and a range of cuisine that is fantastic.

Westbourne

Literally, on our doorstep, we have beautiful  Westbourne, one of the most celebrated urban villages in Bournemouth. With its charming Victorian shopping arcade, art galleries, independent shops and restaurants, craft bakeries and a splendid M&S Food Hall.

The beaches aren’t far away from Westbourne or the Oasis. You can walk through woodlands to Alum Chine or along the Avenue to Branksome Chine and there are still more beaches to choose from with their own woodland paths.

Poole Harbour & the Quay

It’s all so close to the Oasis by bus, bike, foot or car.  Sailors, swimmers, divers, Purbeck ramblers or beach potatoes Poole, Bournemouth and the Oasis between them have to be your idyllic destinations.

Poole Harbour is very close by, only a short drive or for an easy life catch a bus from a choice of stops near at hand, perhaps even cycle along the promenade to get there.  Poole has a very large and picturesque natural harbour with many islands, creeks and inlets. If you are a sailor or watersports enthusiast this is where you should be. If you like the odd beer, a bit of fishing or to eat out then Poole Quay is a must. You could cycle through the lovely Poole park to arrive at the Quay in style.

Travel

By bus, it’s 10 minutes into Bournemouth and 20 minutes into Poole.  Or take the bus to Swanage via the Sandbanks Ferry and on through Studland. There are bus stops outside the Oasis on Poole Road one side and Lindsay Road the other side. You will have a five-minute walk to The Swanage stop.

National Coaches has a stop in Westbourne that will take you to Gatwick and Heathrow. Branksome Rail Station is a ten-minute walk and then around 2 hours to London. If your visitors drive to see you remember we have 25 visitor parking spaces at the Oasis.
